Award-winning surf filmmaker and monster wave hunter, Tim Bonython (ASMF, SWIFF’21) embarks on a journey into the heart-pounding, adrenaline-inducing world of big wave surfing.
Tackling multi-storey walls of water, the thrill of taking on the death-defying waves seems ludicrous to most, but hugely addictive for a tight inner circle of professional big wave surfers that live for the chase.
With jaw-dropping locations, including Nazaré (Portugal) – the home of the biggest rideable wave, The Right, Shipsterns (Australia), Cloudbreak (Fiji) and Teahupo’o (Tahiti), Mavericks and Jaws (USA), and narrated by Australian legend and world champion Tom Carroll – this is an exhilarating big screen spectacle not to be missed – screening for one-night-only at SWIFF’22.
